Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Terbo, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Terbo. By using the app, you represent that you are of legal age to form a binding contract.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

4. How Terbo Works

Terbo allows users to stake money on fitness challenges. Users deposit funds, join challenges with specific workout goals, and either:

• Win: Complete the required workouts and receive your stake back, plus potential bonuses from users who didn't complete
• Lose: Fail to complete the required workouts and forfeit your stake

5. Deposits and Withdrawals

All deposits are processed through Stripe. Funds are held in your Terbo balance until used for challenges or withdrawn. Withdrawal requests are processed within 3-5 business days.

6. Challenge Rules

• Workouts must be logged through Apple HealthKit
• Qualifying workouts must meet minimum duration requirements
• Challenge stakes are non-refundable once a challenge begins
• Results are determined automatically based on HealthKit data

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Falsify workout data or manipulate HealthKit records
• Create multiple accounts
• Use the app for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to defraud other users or the platform

8. Platform Fee

Terbo may retain a percentage of forfeited stakes as a platform fee. Current fee structures are displayed within the app.

9. Limitation of Liability

Terbo is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

11. Modifications

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, any remaining balance (excluding active challenge stakes) will be returned.
